Casa Maria Cruz is a lovely 2-bedroomed cottage located on the outskirts of the village of Puntallana, just 10km from the historic capital of Santa Cruz de la Palma. Here, you are close to nature - but the beach and village amenities are also close at hand!
Surprisingly large inside at 88m2, there are five separate rooms and yet it still has that cosy feel.
For a self-catering holiday on La Palma but with a touch of both quality and history, Casa Maria is a home from home.
The spacious lounge is beautifully furnished with sturdy farmhouse furniture along with a comfortable sofa and armchair. For quite evenings at home, there is a flat-screen television.
There is also a dining table at one end of the lounge suitable for a romantic candlelit meal together or for the family to all gather round.
The original window seats have been retained and the view from the window is to the sea and gardens.
The rustic-style kitchen is well-equipped and includes a 4-ring hob, twin sinks, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and electric kettle. There is also a breakfast table with seating for four where you can sit with the kitchen door open, looking out to the garden at the front.
The two bedrooms are tucked away at one end of the house and both have a window and window seats overlooking the gardens.
Both bedrooms have twin beds which can be put together. Bedding and towels are of course provided.
The 4-piece bathroom provides a shower with plenty of hot water, toilet, bidet and wash basin along with complimentary toiletries. There is also a hair dryer.
In the adjoining laundry room, there is a washing machine, heated towel rail, iron and ironing board.
To the front of Casa Maria Cruz is a lovely garden which includes a lawned area, vines, flowers and vegetables.
If you have ever wanted bananas growing in your front garden, this is the house for you!
Walking trails are close by - you can start walking the GR130 Camino Real right from the door. Nearby trails include La Galga and the Los Tilos laurisilva forest. The volcano route and Caldera de Taburiente are easily reached.
