With two bases from which to explore the walking routes,
all walks are self-guided with full walking notes and map provided so that you get the best out of your holiday on La Palma.

Day 1 Travel to Franceses, Garafia. Rural self-catering accommodation, Franceses |

Day 2 Walk from accommodation to Barlovento Route GR130 – 10.8 km – 5 hours What you can expect to see: Dragon trees, cave settlement, wooden-roofed dwellings, constant wow factors above coast. Return to Franceses by bus (25 minutes) Can be walked vice versa |

Day 3 Circular walk from accommodation – Franceses to El Tablado to Roque Faro to Franceses Route LP 9.1 – 5.5 hours What you can expect to see: Fantastic sea views, traverse spectacular ravine, remote village of El Tablado, heart of La Palma's greenland, country paths then woodland trail down to Franceses. Alternative Options:

Day 4 Travel to Tazacorte Accommodation self-catering apartment Tazacorte An opportunity for exploring Los Llanos with its old quarter and Plaza España plus beach time. |

Day 5 Walk from Tijarafe back to accommodation in Tazacorte Route GR130 – 13 km – 4 hours What you can expect to see:

Day 6 Volcano route. Route GR131 – 16.5km - 6.5 hrs What you can expect to see: Pine forests, both the east and west of La Palma as well as traverse the volcanoes of the south. This route involves the use of a bus then taxi to the start of the route, then bus at the end of the walk. |

Day 7 Walk from Los Canarios to San Nicolas Route GR130 – 14.7 km – 4.5 hours Take bus to Los Canarios – journey time approx 30 minutes - and return on foot along the GR130 route. What you can expect to see: Walking over lava fields, pine forests, view from high above the sea. |

This walking holiday can be made without the use of a car, however, if you plan to hire a car or use a taxi, then there are further options available to you.
