From your accommodation, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the whole north coast of La Palma. This is walking country!
After a traditional finca breakfast, ably assisted by our own happy chickens, set off on the trail of the GR130 El Camino Real, otherwise known as the Walk of Kings eastwards to the small town of Barlovento.
Along the way you will see:
Dragon trees, a cave settlement, wooden-roofed dwellings, a bit of gorge-bashing and a lot of Wow factors as you walk along this amazing coastal route.
Time to head west, this time on the circular LP 9.1 hiking trail passing through El Tablado and Roque del Faro.
Along the way you will walk through:
La Palma's most remote village inhabited almost solely by 'ancianos' (La Palma's old folk), the very heart of La Palma's greenland and a mountain village where you can have a meal cooked on firewood.
Travel to Tazacorte
Check into your beach-side self-catering apartment accommodation in Tazacorte
With the rest of the day free, there is an opportunity for exploring Los Llanos with its old quarter and leafy Plaza España.
Registration at our recommended PADI dive school takes place and then how about a bit of beach time before dinner at one of the seafront restaurants near the apartments.
Meet up with PADI dive school owner/instructors.
2 dives exploring the underwater La Palma accompanied by your PADI Dive Masters or Instructors.
Non-divers will be taken on Discover SCUBA experience in shallow waters in the safe and capable hands of a qualified PADI instructor followed by a second shallow dive.
The dive school are able to offer a mouth-watering selection of dives as required.
2 further dives exploring the magic of La Palma underwater.
Choose from an array of dives sites such as 'La Roca del Mar' from Puerto de Naos where you will swim by 15m high rocks coloured orange and red, canyons and of course fish! Or 'Roque de las Hermanas' where you can dive through arches and swim with the triggerfish, trumpet fish, rays and even on occasions, turtles.
The legendary Malpique with a breathtaking underwater landscape. Beautiful basalt formations, big arches and the "Torre del Malpique", a huge standing rock which comes from the depth of 50 meters up to 30 meters. But this dive location is mainly famous because of the 40 crosses.
Free time or walking the trails such as the Volcano Route or Caldera de Taburiente ... or go SCUBA diving!
With the chance of seeing a sea-horse and enjoying La Palma from underwater, you may wish to take one last morning dive.
However, if you would prefer a guided-walk as an option, then we can arrange that too.
Other than that - relax and enjoy ...
Return and hasta luego La Palma!
